WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7th:
Everyone check your departure times from your city. Be at the airport at least two hours early. Be sure to have your passports and airline tickets. We are on our way! Our team will meet up in San Francisco before we leave for Hong Kong. We will meet at the departing gate. H4KI Staff will hand out your name tags and brief us all on travel details. From there…it’s off to China! We will clear customs and be transported by buses to our hotel. (sleep zzzzz).
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8th:
We will arrive in Hong Kong in the evening. Team members will check into hotel and then walk around the city before bed. Sleep…
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9th & SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10th:
Breakfast in hotel from 7AM to 8AM. Family time with introduction and guidelines starts at 9AM. Our bus will pick us up at 11AM to tour Hong Kong and go to lunch. Team members will enjoy the a wonderful historic tour of Hong Kong for most of the day. Bring your camera on this day! We will visit Hong Kong's Top 10! We will have dinner and an orientation meeting by our China host at 6:30PM.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 11th:
Breakfast in hotel from 7AM to 8AM. Family time at 9AM. Team travels to Jiangmen China via ferry (1.5 hours) to the port of Zhoungshan. We will continue to Jiangmen by van for another hour until we reach our destination.
MONDAY, OCTOBER 12th & TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13th:
Breakfast in hotel from 7AM to 8AM. Family time at 9AM. Teams will spend most of the day working in orphanages. Some of the activities will include opportunities for people to teach, hold and care for babies, construction repair work, medical outreaches, assisting doctors on site. Dinner is at 6:30PM. Hang out at the hotel and sleep.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 14th & THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15th:
Breakfast in hotel from 7AM - 8AM. Family time at 9AM. Today we will do similar work in a second orphanage in Jingamen. Dinner at 6:30PM. There may be opportunities for team members to speak to students in business school in the university.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16th & SATURDAY OCTOBER 17th:
Breakfast in hotel from 7AM - 8AM. Family time at 9AM. Our team will travel a short distance away to work in another orphanage. We will deliver Beanie Babies, play with the kids, develop deeper relationships with our leaders, teach & assist doctors.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18th:
Breakfast in the Hotel from 7AM - 8AM. Family time at 9AM. The team will travel from Guangzhong to Beijing. In the evening, we will see an amazing show of Chinese acrobats!
MONDAY, OCTOBER 19th:
Breakfast in Hotel from 7AM - 8AM. Family time 9AM. The team will get to see and walk The Great Wall - one of the Seven Wonders of the World. After the Great Wall, the excursion continues to Tienanmen Square an the Forbidden City. We will also take a tour of the Olympic village.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 20th:
Breakfast in Hotel. Final Family time and debriefing. We will depart Beijing today. We will be bused to the Beijing airport. This is where we say our goodbyes to a number of our team members. Have a great flight home!
