Dress a Girl at the Well

Water 4 Kids finds sponsors to drill wells for African villagers who do not have access to clean water. Girls spend hours walking to find water and when they do it is so polluted that people are dying from dysentery. In remote villages where there is a lack of fresh water, 75% of deaths occur from contaminated water.

Because we believe every child deserves access to safe water and the opportunity to drink without risking death by dysentery—and we believe every little girl deserves the dignity of owning at least one dress--Water 4 Kids and Dress a Girl have teamed up to give individuals, churches and organizations who are sponsoring wells the opportunity to ask those in their communities to make dresses to be distributed at their well dedications.

This program brings awareness to those making dresses of the need for safe water - as well as those drilling wells awareness of bringing dignity to the girls collecting the water.
