Friday, April 17th, 2009, Anthem’s Piñata Nueva Restaurant hosted the second annual Hope 4 Kids International Poker Tournament. Contestants came from within the Anthem community as well as traveling from Payson, Prescott, and Dallas. With a fifty dollar buy in, forty-two players entered and only three were crowned victorious. One in particular, Anthem’s own Keith Going, was declared “master of the table”. All in all, $1000 was given away in prizes and $4,000 was raised for Hope 4 Kids International and their life-saving programs. Thanks to all supporters and participants. Special thanks to Mary Gonzales of Piñata Nueva for hosting Hope 4 Kids International and for donating a percentage of the food and drink sales. Special thanks, also to Arizona Casino Elite’s Dennis Uptain for running the blinds for evening.
