On February 13, 2008, The Tree of Life Foundation International presented Hope 4 Kids International with the first annual 2008 Global Heart Award in recognition of their acts of generosity and goodwill to make the world a better place in West Palm Beach, Florida. The awardees included some top notch celebrities as well as some unsung heros whom have proven to be supporters of various organizations worldwide, from the animals to AIDS stricken children in Africa to the global challenges with the environment. Angie Simon, Director of Development and Communications accepted the award on behalf of Tom Eggum who was serving in Africa at the time. "It was a beautiful evening and the contacts and friends we made at this event were invaluable. Amanda is an amazing lady with a huge heart. We feel very touched that she included us in her foundation" said Angie. " We're really looking forward to making the most out of our new partnerships this year." The event was hosted at The Breakers on Palm Beach Island with Mia Matthews, Broadway actress as the Mistress of Ceremonies. Miss Florida was presenting the awards to the individuals.The Tree of Life Foundation is a global oriented, multifaceted, charitable organization providing resources for a better world.
