The November team will be holding a three day hope festival at Smile Africa in Uganda for the women and children. There will be pastor's wives, widows, women Smile Africa has started in business and teens. There will be worship, workshops and of course a tea party. Choose to Wait will be presenting their program to the teens and pastor's wives (the pastor's wives will in turn carry the program to the youth in their own churches). There will be a medical clinic along with education on AIDS, hygiene and health. Women will be tested for reading glasses. There will be a market where women will bring their crafts to sell to the Americans. We will be gifting the women with hygiene kits. While all this activity is happening with the women other team members will partner with Ugandan volunteers to hold a Vacation Bible School for our 420 Karamojong children who come daily to be fed, bathed and taught. We would LOVE to give mosquito nets to these children and are collecting funds for that project. After the three day festival with the women and children there will be a one day seminar for the men. They will recieve teaching from a combined effort from some of the men on the November team and Ugandan pastors on family values, and on being a good husband and father. We are collecting neckties to present to the men.
