Widows Trip Highlights

Hope 4 Women International

In Africa there is a saying, "if you teach a man, you've taught just one man. If you teach a woman, then you have taught a family."

Premise

CadijaEmpowering women to become self-sufficient through Dignity, Joy, Health & Love.

Hope 4 Women International is our new division of Hope 4 Kids International. We are empowering women to become self-sufficient with businesses of their own and to raise their dignity through tea parties, day spas and celebrating women.

We've begun in Uganda and hope to carry this to other parts of the world where women suffer from poverty, disease and low self-worth.

Currently, the widows of Uganda are in crisis. As their husbands die they are ostracized by his family as well as by society. Typically the family will cast the woman and children from their homes forcing them to the streets. Alone in their despair they are forced to beg, prostitute themselves or their children just to survive. Some commit suicide while others labor in the gardens to raise a bit of food for their families. Serving women through the 4 hopes

Our Mission Statement

For the past thirty-five years Hope 4 Kids International’s vision has been to bring hope and to meet basic needs of kids who are affected by extreme poverty and disease. We exemplify God’s unconditional love to every child we serve through various life-saving projects. H4KI reaches out to those in greatest need around the world with the intent of showing the heart of Jesus through our 4 mainstays of Hope: Dignity, Health, Joy and Love.

Vision

H4WI remains in line with H4KI’s mission in carrying the four mainstays--but to widows and women at risk in Uganda. James 1:27 says; “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” H4WI empowers women who are suffering from poverty, disease and low self-worth to become self-sufficient with businesses of their own and to raise their dignity through celebrating women.

Sponsor a Woman

For $36 a month you can sponsor a woman in Uganda or India.

In Uganda we hold classes teaching  sponsored women how to become successful businesswomen. Ugandan women are proud to learn a business so they can provide for themselves and their children.

In India we sponsor widows to pay for their medical expenses and give them a monthly supply of groceries. When the widows are able to bring groceries home, it greatly eases the burden on their extended families who must care for them.
