Strategy For Vision

What is our organization's strategy for accomplishing our vision?

Before Hope 4 Kids begins serving at an international project, H4KI identifies and establishes a relationship with an existing ministry that can be held accountable for the area we are serving. Hope 4 Kids makes at least a five-year commitment in that area and together with the leader of that ministry formulates a plan for them to become self-sufficient after the five years have been completed.

The strategy for accomplishing our vision is to first share the heart of Jesus by meeting villagers critical practical needs followed up by sharing with them the Gospel of Christ. Particularly with Africa, our evangelism impact is much greater when one understands the people and culture of the villages we serve. Our Bishop over our fifty-one villages throughout Eastern Africa, Wilber Sigombe, told us, "You cannot talk to a child about eternity, when they don't know when their next meal is coming from." By meeting these immediate physical needs, it opens a door for us to share with them the Gospel of Christ and meet their spiritual needs on a deeper level.

Committed to providing relief to poverty-stricken villages caught up in the global AIDS crisis, H4KI leads teams on exciting two-week mission trips equipped with essential medical and dental supplies and other provisions to the communities we serve.

Hope 4 Kids believes education is the way out of extreme poverty. We sponsor 1300 orphans around the world to go to school. We support a number of schools and we've even built our own Christian mixed day boarding school.

Hope 4 Kids makes at least a 5-year commitment in the countries we serve enabling the country to become self-sufficient through multiple ongoing, long-term economic, spiritual, orphan and feeding programs.

Through our "Adopt a Village" program, we directly impact the lives of thousands of villagers. We give them a foundation to sustain a better life by digging a well and building a church under which they can worship. Hope 4 Kids International supports 51 villages throughout Uganda, Kenya & Tanzania under True Vine Team Ministries.
US churches, individuals, families or corporations can sponsor a village. Adopting a village includes:

•    Land
We provide church villages between 1.5 - 3 acres of land for the church, medical clinic and pastor's house.

•    Village Church
The center of Uganda culture is the church. Churches not only serve as a worship center but for also social gatherings, meetings, orphan outreaches and leadership conferences.

•    Safe Water Well
Many villagers have to collect water in ditches during the rainy season or walk up to 6 hours a day to the nearest source of water. A village well can serve up to seven villages and provide safe drinking water for nearly 3500 people.

•    Two-Room Medical Clinic
Medical clinics will be built in every one of our villages. The Minister of Health of Uganda is very excited about this initiative since his ministry will be able to use our clinics for vaccinations, diagnoses and follow-ups. Medical personnel from our 66-bed hospital will also use these village medical clinics for medical outreaches for orphans in our sponsorship program.

•    Support a Village Pastor
$100/month will pay for the salary of a village pastor. Pastors are vital figureheads in the communities. They visit widow's homes, look after orphans and lead overnight prayer vigils.

•    Build a House for a Pastor
Many Pastors live in deteriorated mud huts and often times bring in orphans or widows to live with them. Building a new permanent home for them will give them the stability they need for years to come.

•    Sound Systems
H4KI provides communities with a professional sound system used during Crusades, Vacation Bible Schools, church services and community gatherings.

•    Latrine
A public restroom will be built for each one of the villages. By providing public restrooms will increase sanitation and eliminate disease.

•    Chairs for the Church
Oftentimes, villagers sit on the floor or stand under a tree during worship services. We want to provide churches with seating for all members.

•    Small Business
Part of becoming self-sufficient is having the opportunity to become a small business owner. We have equipped many Africans with the means to run their own business. Some of the businesses include driving schools, small cafes & beauty salons.
