Compassionate, High-Quality Healthcare for Children and Families in Tororo, Uganda

The Crisis Facing Ugandan Families

A simple illness shouldn’t be life-threatening.

In Uganda’s Tororo District, extreme poverty puts basic healthcare out of reach. Malaria, diarrheal diseases, and pneumonia claim lives every day, not because treatments don’t exist, but because access to care does not.

Families travel long distances at great personal cost, often to find the medical center has no medicine. When diagnosis and treatment are delayed, a simple illness quickly becomes life-threatening.

Access to quality healthcare is more than a convenience — it is the difference between life and death.

The Opportunity

Care not found anywhere else in the region.

Opened in April 2026 in partnership with the Stensby Family, the Eggum Family Medical Center sits on the H4KI campus in Tororo, Uganda. Led by clinic administrator Mercy Achola and staffed by a dedicated team of local doctors, nurses, and medical technicians, it provides compassionate, accessible care to more than 4,000 vulnerable children and families each year.

As demand for services grows, strategic partnerships with healthcare organizations expand the clinic’s capacity, strengthen clinical services, and improve access to quality care for the most vulnerable.
