What wouldn’t you do if it meant bringing God’s love to a desperate child? Every child must eat. In Africa there is no safety net. Many starving children are forced to beg for money, scour the trash for food, and find their own shelter. In partnership with Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), H4KI transports over 500,000 highly nutritious meals each year, ensuring over nearly 800 children in Uganda are fed daily. Tens of thousands of dollars in import taxes are waved due to the special agreements we have with countries in which we work. Multiple H4KI 40 ft. containers of food are shipped several times a year at a cost of $25,000 per container, an expense H4KI must cover. With your donation, not only will these children survive, but also they will thrive as a result of the nutrients and vitamins they will be receiving.
H4KI ships SAM nutritious meals donated by Feed My Starving Children in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Each meal provides the essential nutrition for a growing child for one day. In addition to being fed, the children receive basic medical care at the SAM clinic. Many of them are treated for malaria and yellow fever, are de-wormed, have their jiggers removed, and have their scabies and wounds treated. Their hygiene is improving as a result of education and newly installed showers. The children receive basic education in preschool through the primary three. They also learn about Jesus Christ and witness His love firsthand. About a dozen of the children are now sponsored in nearby public primary schools. This is a great step forward in raising their group’s social status as well as improving individual opportunities for them.
